The FICAM®, the International Animation Film Festival of Meknes, is a cultural event recognised for both its professional quality and its appeal to the general public.
Through its rich and varied programme consisting of screenings, training workshops, masterclasses, and friendly meetings,
the FICAM® is the essential meeting place for young and old, professionals and amateurs, big names in animation cinema, and young graduates.
Having become an important event in the global animation cinema agenda, the FICAM® has managed to acquire the maturity that has allowed it to rise to the forefront of events dedicated to animation cinema in Africa and the Arab world. At each edition of the FICAM®, the artistic direction addresses a particular theme through which famous names in animation are honoured. The programme thus includes previews of feature films never before seen in Morocco, a cycle of debates, masterclass meetings, exhibitions, a FICAM® bookshop, screenings intended to raise children's awareness of the language of images, and national and international competitions. This rich and varied programme offers the Moroccan public unique opportunities to meet and exchange with renowned artists and speakers invited to the festival.
