Nearly 220 journalists accredited in Morocco and internationally are covering the 10th edition of the International Agricultural Exhibition of Morocco (SIAM 2015).
The newspapers of the written press are all represented during this edition which also sees massive coverage by several television channels both national and international as well as radios and electronic newspapers, it is learned from the organisers.
This large-scale event is also covered by the international press, with no less than 20 accredited journalists. The regional and local press is also represented with more than 80 correspondents, adds the same source.
The press centre within the SIAM has become an anthill due to the massive presence of journalists, of all genres combined, who hurry as much as they coordinate among themselves to be the first to give information on this grandiose event and to keep the general public informed of all the activities included in the framework of this Exhibition which promises to be a record-breaker.
The 2014 edition of the SIAM was marked by a reinforced media presence through the presence of 250 national and international accredited journalists instead of 320 the year before. More than 20 foreign press organisations were represented.
The SIAM 2015 saw the presentation of the Grand Prize of the Agricultural and Rural Press, in its 2nd edition, which aims to reward the efforts of the women and men of the national press for their interest and the role played in information around the sectors of agriculture and rural development in Morocco.
This grand prize which targets audiovisual, written, or electronic media, rewards the best articles, reports, television and radio broadcasts for the period from 1 April to 31 March 2015.
A true reference and now unmissable annual meeting of the agricultural sector both at the national and international level, the SIAM celebrates this year a symbolic milestone: a decade of success, exchanges, and discoveries at the service of the influence and upgrading of national agriculture.
The SIAM has been able, from its first editions, to register itself in the calendar of unmissable meetings of Agriculture, and this both at the national, continental, and international level, rising to the rank of the leading exhibition in Morocco and Africa.
An enthusiasm shared by market actors internationally but also at the national level, each year being more numerous to respond present and participating in making each year a record edition.
A numerical but also and above all qualitative progression underlined by the unique identity of the Exhibition and its particular vocation at the crossroads of information, networking, and benchmarking, and which is perfected by a high-level scientific programme.
Placed under the theme "Agriculture and food systems", this tenth edition of the SIAM aims to reflect and federate around the agriculture of tomorrow, through a broad scientific programme, international feedback in the sector, or even the signing of several structuring conventions during the first three days of the Exhibition, entirely reserved for professionals and agricultural actors.
